EOTD: bright orange and green

I realised I haven't messed with proper eye makeup in while. Infact these days I prefer minimal / natural makeup... feel just so lazy!

Anyway today I felt like playing with some makeup. Haven't done so in a while. So decided to experiment with orange and green with the MAC pigments I bought from Emilee a while back. The aim was to experiment with some bolder colours and I don't think it turned out so bad~

I just love the bright orange, if only I had the opportunity to wear it out LOL!

And eotd I did a while back.. can't remeber what I used! LOL.

Oh and for Gee and Jie jie, who asked what straighteners I used for my curling:

They cost about £25... bought them a while a go now. they were reasonably cheap and actually decent to use! Probably have to get new hot tools when I'm over in Japan since they use different plugs over there. Usually I'd convert Japanese plugs to UK plugs with a converter plug at home but it does not work vice versa because the voltage in Japan is considerably lower than ones in UK.

I'm going to take my macbook to the apple shop tmrw and see what happens..!! fed up on shifting around the desktop and using my bro's work laptop (since he is back from London for the week) grrr.

Other than that, today has been mostly preoccupied with watching the Wimbledon Men's Single Final - Federer Vs Nadal. My bf supports Federer, but I ended up supporting Nadal and he actually won in the end!! So a double victory (Euro 2008) for the Spanish ;)

the combination looks wonderful on you!!!!

I have heard so much good stuffs about the Remington brand! but it's so expensive down here, that's why I settled for another brand :)

That's a pretty combo!!! I've got to learn how to BLEND better.

Ah, I need a new straightener too :P Thanks for posting that!

LOL, I was watching Wimbledon today too!! I love watching tennis! And this was such a great match usually it gets boring to watch Roger win all the time. It's just not fun when sports are competitive, you know? I was cheering for Federer though. Nadal reminds me of a monkey...and I don't like how he wears capris, lol. My fave is Andy Roddick though, he's so YUMMY :)

ooooo the orange and green looks really cool :3

and i spent a good chunk of today watching the men's final as well--im happy that Nadal won since it's his first time and he totally worked so hard for it! Federer is such a great player too and he played really well today, especially towards the end, but I think it was great for Nadal to win Wimbledon for once :) Top 2 players created the most intense and best match ever today :3

oOo! i love the orange and green on you! very pretty! colors are fun, but I've been doing the same thing as you as far as makeup goes... very minimal... just plain skipping eyeshadow. LOL. lately I focus my eye makeup on colored eyeliners and pretty lashes, just so it's not TOO boring. :) I may actually be doing a tutorial on it soon since I haven't done a tutorial in ages... although no one has requested it... but oh well... i'll post it just cause it's my blog and i can. LOLOL.

Lovely combination! Never thought both colors would look great together. I like how you did the lining and winging.

How's BB gel? I want it! I heard it works better on the waterline. I'm eyeing clinique's cream liner too.

I've been trying to work with my flat iron to create curls, but always fail! Maybe I need more practice?

Thanks ladies:)

Gee: ooh i think Andy Roderick is cute too.. but i havent seen him play much unfortunately. I think it's Nadal's dark hair and muscle that give the primitive look??! hahah..

Erica: yeah sure i'll do a post on it later!

Christiana: yeah you should totally go an do a tut on that!! i think it would be a pretty but natural look :]

Jie: I love the BB gel, it has a great consistency! I've not tried the clinique one, if you get please do a review on it :) yeah practice makes perfect with the straighteners and curling ;)

Coco: it's raining like hell here too.. well at least where I am LOL!

Get a voltage converter to solve that problem ;) Its sometimes called a step up/step down converter. But with the variety of styling tools available there, why would you want to bring yours?? Just buy a new one! :D

Holy crap! This look is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!! I wants it. Is that Emerald pigment only available from the pro stores? :( I hope not. I <3 greens...

Nic Nic said...

Thanks ladies :)

Mayaari: I'd watch the La Tour D'France if I see it on TV!!

Fauz fashionista: yeah you can get voltage transformer over there there but it doesnt come cheap. so not worth buying it in the end, might as well buy new tools. I'm def getting new tools there, new models and not too expensive :)

Chas: Im not too sure about the Green Emerald - I bought some MAC piggie samples from Emilee (aka girlmeetsmakeup) you should check her out if your interested :)
